In light of the current crisis we are subjected to, I for one, would like to make clear and voice my profound gratitude to our "Other Christ", our dear
Father David Hewko. I only wish I could somehow convey in a worthy manner just how much this one good priest has done for my soul, my life, my
marriage, my children, my parish, the city, state, and country in which I live, the entire world, how much he has protected our Holy Mother, the
Church, taken his vows as a Catholic priest and son of Archbishop Lefebvre seriously and carried them out as the warrior priest that he is, how his
love and dedication to the true Faith and the true Mass have showered us, no, sent a downpour over us and on the entire world of God's good graces,
which we are in so dire need of, miserable sinners that we are. We often, as parents, wonder what will be left for our children and grandchildren. We
are able to confidently say the Faith will be there for them, thanks, at least in part, to this good priest simply passing on what was given to him,
feeding us constantly these delicacies while the world is starving us out. Simple as it may sound, one only need look at the suffering he endures to
find that Fr. Hewko truly is an "alter Christus" as he endures not just the hatred of the world, as is expected, but hatred from his own, so similar to
Our Lord Jesus Christ. My heart bleeds over this. However, this too he uses as a tool to edify us, as he suffers so well and so humbly. My only joy in
his suffering is that it will merit him a higher place in heaven above. I am humbled and honored to call him my priest, my confessor, my spiritual
father, my friend. Thank you, Father Hewko, I will always be deeply grateful to you for your tireless work of fixing, caring for, and feeding my soul. If
I ever make it to heaven, it will be due to your good work. How does one even begin to repay such a gift as he has given, not just to me, but to the
world?
My Mother, my Confidence,
