Christ allowed Himself to fall to teach us what to do after a fall.
For those that hate God and will not turn to Him when they are reproved they become violently angry and they harden their hearts like Pharaoh did. But there are other souls who when they are reproved they strike their breasts. Once they have struck their breasts then the apostle can entreat. 'You have sickness, you have a grave cancer. You have an ailment called original sin which is lurking itself out of your actual sins. You have an ailment called the errors of heresies of the world and the ailment called the confusion of the modern world. Now let's heal it. Let's entreat and pull out of this weakness. Let's entreat and pull out of this sickness. Let's entreat and come to the place of healing.' The holy Roman Catholic Church, the mystical body of our Lord Jesus Christ is the only place of healing.
Hence the apostle must be in season and out of season at all times. Reprove, entreat, rebuke and all patience.Bless me Father for I have sinned. I committed the same sins as last week. For your penance say 3 Hail Mary's.
Rebuke and all patience, rebuke and all patience. This is not the same as a reproving. It is simply a reminder go back and try to be good. Go back and try to be good. Get up again and go back and try to be good, get up again and go back and try to be good. Get up again and try to be good. Remember the just man he falls 7 times a day. The sinner falls once in a lifetime or once in a year. Because he never gets up he digs a hole, he stays in his sin. He does not climb.
But the just man falls and he rises, the just man falls and he rises, the just man falls and he rises. When he does that he's building muscles. He's building strength. He's becoming stronger. Therefore he's becoming a warrior against the devil. The just man rises every time he falls. The just man rises 7 times a day because the second he falls what does he do? He rises up again. He doesn't wait. When he gets knocked off his horse he does not wait, he rises and jumps back on the horse. He thereby one day tames the horse. The devil is terrified of the just man that falls 7 times a day, because of his rising. Whereas a wicked man doesn't do that.Christ allowed Himself to fall to teach us what to do after a fall.
