Dear all,
After hearing a podcast of an exorcist priest who read the third secret in 1960's. he was under oath not to say what it was but gave clues.
He said 'the last pope will be under the control of satan'
He also said 'Daniel 12 ' was significant.
After studying Daniel 12 it seems to me like no more sins can be forgiven after the 'abomination of the desolute' and blessed are those who can stick out the three and a half years of no sins.
I can't help thinking we are in these times, given the amazon synod etc....
I'm not sure what the church has said of these things but priests are still confessing sins...

Welcome to the Catacombs, Timmytime!
I am not really sure what you are asking here? The thread title asks if "mortal sins can be forgiven?" As we know, if there are valid priests, one can and should confess one's mortal sins.
Without knowing who this exorcist priest is, it's hard to comment on what he discussed in that particular podcast. As far as your study of Daniel 12, we must use caution in not interpreting and apply Holy Scripture ourselves. We must adhere to how the Church understands and teaches on these topics.
We certainly are in dark days, but it seems they will get darker. But it is not likely that we are yet in the days of the 'Man of Perdition.'
God bless!
