Who are those who are on the road to hell?
It is, first of all, men who abuse authority, in any order whatsoever, to train their subordinates in evil, either by violence or by seduction. "A very hard judgment " awaits them. The true Satans of the earth, it is to them that the dreadful word of Scripture is addressed in the person of their father: "O Lucifer, how did you fall from the heights of heaven? "They are all those who abuse the gifts of the spirit to turn poor people away from the service of GOD and to tear their faith away. These public corrupters are the heirs of the Pharisees of the Gospel, and they fall under this anathema of the Son of God:
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut up the kingdom of heaven to men. You yourself do not go in, and you prevent others from entering. Misfortune to you, scribes and hypocrites pharisees ! because you travel the land and the seas to make a proselyte and when you have won, you make him a son of hell, twice as bad as you ".
They are the proud, who, full of themselves, despise others and mercilessly throw stone at them. Men hard and heartless, they will find, if they do not convert at the time of their death, a ruthless Judge, too.
It is the egoists, the bad rich, who, drowned in the pursuit of luxury and sensuality, think only of themselves, and forget the poor. Witness the evil rich of the Gospel, of which GOD himself said: "He was buried in hell."
They are the miser, who think only of amassing crowns, who forget JESUS CHRIST and eternity. It is these men of money who, by means of more than doubtful business, by means of secretly accumulated injustices and dishonest businesses, by means of purchases of Church property, make or have made their fortune, large or small. small, on grounds that the law of GOD disapproves of. It is written of them "that they shall not possess the kingdom of heaven."
They are the voluptuous, who live quietly, without remorse, in their immodest habits, who abandon themselves to all their passions, have no God but their belly, and end up not knowing any other happiness than the enjoyments animals and the gross pleasures of the senses.
It is the worldly, frivolous souls who think only of having fun, of passing time madly, of people who are honest in the world, who forget the prayer, the service of God, the sacraments of salvation. They have no concern for the Christian life; they do not think of their souls; they live in a state of mortal sin, and the lamp of their conscience is extinguished, without their being troubled. If the Lord comes unexpectedly, as He has predicted, they will hear the terrible response He addresses, in the Gospel, to the foolish virgins: "I do not know you." Woe to the man who is not wearing the nuptial dress! The Sovereign Judge will order his Angels to seize, at the moment of death, "the useless servant to throw him, bound hand and foot, into the abyss of outer darkness, that is to say, into hell!"
Those who go to hell are skewed and twisted consciences, who trampled underfoot, by bad confessions and sacrilegious communions, the Body and Blood of the Lord , "eating and drinking their own condemnation," according to the terrible word of St. Paul. These are the people who, abusing the graces of GOD, find means to be bad in the most sanctifying circles; it is the hateful hearts, who refuse to forgive.
Finally, there are the sectarians of Freemasonry and the senseless victims of secret societies, who devote themselves, so to speak, to the devil by swearing to live and die outside the Church, without sacraments, without Jesus. CHRIST and, consequently, against Jesus Christ.
I do not say that all these poor people will certainly go to hell: I say that they go there, that is to say that they take the path. Fortunately for them, they have not yet arrived, and I hope that before the end of the journey, they will love to convert more humbly than to burn forever.
Alas! the road to hell is so wide, so convenient! he's always going downhill, and you just have to let go. Our Savior tells us in words: "The way to perdition is wide, and there are many who engage in it! "
Examine yourself, reader my friend; and if, unfortunately, you need to turn back, grace, do not hesitate, and bravely go out of the way of hell while there is still time.
