excerpt taken from day three, 6th conference:
"We must understand that evolution is not just an opinion. It's not just a philosophical way of looking at things. It's not something that is benign. It is demonic. It is against the whole foundation and framework of our holy Catholic faith, our holy Catholic religion. Therefore it must be obliterated and condemned.
We are not doing justice when we only condemn it on the basis of "there's no evidence." Of course there's no evidence. We don't find one single case of a new creation. There's no new kind of molecule, no new kind of frog, no new kind of ant, no new kind of any creature that exists in the world today.
We also notice there are several million species of insects that have already been identified. Out of these millions of species show me an ant with 6 legs. Show me his grandpa with 5 legs. Show me his great grandpa with 4 legs, and 3 legs and 2 legs.
If evolution was true we'd see a gradation. Why can't we see a gradation of fish? Why can't we see a gradation of mammals, of animals? It's totally absurd. Every single animal requires lungs and stomach in order to live. All the elements have to be there or else it's dead. That's the materialistic, scientific way of refuting evolution. It's effective but not the essential problem of evolution.
This problem of evolution is philosophical and much deeper. Evolution says matter causes itself, which is absurd. Evolution says the suicide principle is built into all things. Evolution says evil causes good. These are all teachings contrary to the faith.
Evolution teaches evil causes good. Guess who came up with that idea? Satan. [....] 1:21:40 Explanation of stupid well said by St. Augustine and recorded by Garrigou-Lagrange. What is stupid? He said, stupid is the opposite of wisdom. Wisdom is to explain things by their highest causes and by their purposes. The wise man explains things by their highest causes and explains things by their purposes.
What's stupid? To explain things by no cause or to explain things by the lowest causes. And the most stupid of all says St. Augustine, is to explain things by sin. For sin is even less than nothing. There's nothing more stupid than to explain the reason of things when by sin, by nothing or by the lower cause.
The lowest cause is the material cause. "
